Renew the Lease for Koroneburg Ren Faire

Renew the Lease for Koroneburg Ren Faire
The Issue
The lease for Riverview Recreation Park (home of the Koroneburg Renaissance Village) located at 14600 Baron Drive in Eastvale is coming up for renewal in August of 2025 and Riverside County Parks and Open-Spaces District has not confirmed whether it intends to renew.
If the lease is not renewed then the residents of Riverside County and the greater areas of Southern California will lose the only permanent Renaissance Village in California.
We urge the Riverside County Board of Supervisors, the District Advisory Commission of the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District ("RivCo Parks"), and the executive staff of RivCo Parks to:
Renew the lease with Riverview Recreation Park LLC ("RRP") to ensure the continuation of these valuable community events:
- The Koroneburg Renaissance Festival
- The Knights of the Fabled Reader Program
- Weddings, receptions, drive-in movies, and LARP events
- Filming for television and cinema
- The Halloween Coffin Creek event
Why Save Riverview Recreation Park and its Events?
Riverview Recreation Park, under the management of RRP, has become a vital community hub for the past seven years. They have consistently provided enriching experiences and positive contributions, including:
- Park Revitalization: Faced with disrepair and neglect, RRP took the initiative to revitalize Riverview Recreation Park. Thanks to their efforts, the park is a stunning and valuable space for residents to enjoy.
- Affordable Entertainment: RRP's events, including the Renaissance Festival and Halloween, provide residents with high-quality entertainment at reasonable prices compared to large commercial venues. They offer a more accessible option for families and individuals.
- Promoting Inclusivity: RRP has embraced diverse groups of creative individuals, hosting a variety of engaging outdoor activities that cater to a wide range of interests. This inclusive approach strengthens the community spirit. Today RRP’s community boasts a very diverse group including veterans, professionals, public servants, senior citizens, students, teachers, and people of all walks of life.
- Supporting Local Events: RRP offers the only viable option for miles for small group events and weekend events. This fosters a unique community for these enthusiasts.
- Supporting Small Businesses: RRP’s events bring revenue to surrounding businesses and RRP engages with non-profits to promote education through reading, immersion, and education.
Impact
By renewing the lease with RRP, we can ensure the continuation of these beloved traditions and the positive impact they have on our community.
