Star Wars has been a successful franchise in the entertainment industry for over 45 years. Under George Lucas and Lucasfilm Ltd, it has gained many fans throughout its different eras. As of late, it has been expanding. Recently shows like ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ and ‘Ahsoka’ have been coming out on Disney+ with a very mixed reaction from Star Wars fans. 

The most recent show released, ‘The Acolyte’, received a decent amount of hate from the fan base and there are definitely clear reasons why. Certain fans expect the franchise to stay the same and for Disney to stick to the same lore, which is totally understandable. There were a few little things that weren’t the best considering how the Star Wars story was orchestrated. But on the other hand, this had to be a considerably successful show. Disney did amazing with showing the High Republic before the saga began as well as revisited concepts and lightsaber battles. 

There are a bunch of reasons as to why we want a season 2. We want to see more of the High Republic and the expansion of ideas brought to us in the finale of the show. Though, the show doesn’t look like it has a bright future because of the hate and Disney also has to take money into consideration. We can’t let the people who didn’t like the show, ruin the future of it for the people who actually enjoyed it and the theories it brought. #RenewTheAcolyte
