The area around St Catherine and Atwater in Westmount Quebec has become a rundown disgrace.

People live on the streets while land that could be developed into much needed housing is occupied by parking lots and abandoned storefronts.

Builders are ready to develop if it can be zoned to accommodate density. The City of Westmount has consulted residents and is ready to do this.

But, these new buildings might cast shadows. As a result, some neighbours oppose the redevelopment.

We call on the City of Westmount to proceed with the proposed redevelopment near St Catherine and Atwater, including the allowances for additional density.
