As Salamu Alaikum my dear brothers & sisters in Islam,

As we embark on this spiritual journey together, it is with a heavy heart that I address some pressing concerns that have been weighing on our community. Our masjid, a place of solace and guidance, currently lacks an Imam to lead us in our spiritual endeavors. The leadership we entrusted with our votes seems to believe that we can thrive without a spiritual guide. This raises the question: Are we truly okay to live like this, devoid of the spiritual mentorship and guidance that our community so desperately needs?

Furthermore, our requests to access meeting minutes have gone unanswered for over a month, despite our constitutional right to receive them within seven days of request. This lack of transparency and communication from the Shura is concerning. Are we truly okay to live in a community where such basic rights are not respected?

While neighboring communities flourish and grow, we find ourselves struggling to efficiently register new members. This stagnation raises the question: Are we truly okay to live in a community where progress is hindered by inefficiencies?

Moreover, the lack of responsiveness from the Shura, whom we entrusted with the betterment of our community, is disheartening. Basic emails go unanswered, leaving us feeling unheard and disconnected. Are we truly okay to live in a community where communication breakdowns impede progress?

The community member have started leaving and the donations to our masjid have started to decline due to these underlying problems. Are we truly okay to live in a community where the community's problems are being ignored?

Lastly, as followers of Islam, forgiveness is paramount. However, the question arises: Are we allowed to forget after forgiving? It is easy for us to forgive transgressions but moving forward without addressing underlying issues can hinder true reconciliation so, forgive but do not forget.

In times like these, it is crucial for us to come together as a community, united in faith and purpose. Let us strive for open communication, transparency, and unity as we navigate these challenges together. Our strength lies in our ability to address these concerns constructively and work towards a brighter future for our community.

Let this Ramadan bring the sense of responsibility and accountability from us. As Allah says in Qur'an "Verily, Allah will not change the condition of people unless they do not change themselves" [Al Qur'an: 13-11]

Let's stand up for our betterment and let's stand up for ourselves.

May Allah guide us on this journey and grant us the wisdom and patience to overcome these obstacles.

Jazakum Allahu Khyran

Was Salamu Alaikum va rahmathullahi va barakatahu..
