The Issue
Super Why was a magical part of my childhood, sparking my imagination and teaching valuable literacy skills in a way that was both fun and engaging. It introduced us to the vibrant world of Storybrook Village, where Super Why, Wonder Red, Princess Presto, Alpha Pig, and Woofster embarked on adventures that made learning exciting. Since its debut, the innovative storytelling, catchy music, and educational approach have left a lasting impression on countless viewers, blending entertainment with early childhood education. However, despite its popularity and effectiveness, the series ended in 2016 after just three seasons, leaving fans yearning for more.
Super Why was known for its unique 3D animation style that captured the attention and interest of young audiences. While an attempt was made to revive the show in 2D format, it just wasn't the same. The original 3D animation brought characters and stories to life in a dynamic way that enhanced children's viewing experience and complemented the story's imaginative narratives. It's time to bring back that magic and inspire a new generation of young minds.
PBS Kids has always stood as a pioneer in educational programming, and reviving the 3D version of Super Why could reinforce its mission to spread education through entertainment. The demand for high-quality educational content is ever-growing, and the revival of Super Why could serve as a beacon of innovative education once again. Reintroducing the original format could not only attract new viewers but also create a sense of nostalgia for past audiences who experienced this wonder-filled show in its prime.
By bringing back Super Why's 3D version, we can bridge the gap in engaging educational entertainment, providing parents and educators with a tool that children love. This renewed series could offer vibrant stories, interactive challenges, and beloved characters that foster a love for reading and learning.
Join me in urging PBS Kids to reconsider and renew Super Why in its original 3D format, for the benefit of education and enjoyment for children everywhere. Sign this petition to show your support and help bring this beloved show back to life.
