Renegotiate Graduation Venue for the Class of 2025

Renegotiate Graduation Venue for the Class of 2025
The Issue
This is deeply personal. I am part of the graduating class of 2025 and I have a large, loving family who have been instrumental in my education journey. The current arrangement, however, indicates an audience limit, allowing each graduate to select merely 5 guests due to venue restrictions. Having to choose between family members on such a significant occasion is a situation graduates shouldn't have to face.
Unfortunately, this issue doesn't just affect me. With statistics from the National Center for Education indicating an average graduation rate of around 85% (source: National Center for Education Statistics), numerous families will be facing the same predicament. The venue’s limited capacity doesn't just undermine the ceremony's significance but also negatively impacts family participation which is the essence of such celebratory moments.
Therefore, I urge the school board to consider renegotiating the venue for the graduating class of 2025; a more spacious venue that can allow more family members to witness this important milestone. Please sign this petition and support this call for a venue that can cater to our large and supportive families. Together, we can make our graduation a more inclusive event.
