The Vaalsberg, standing at 322 meters, is the highest point in the Netherlands. It is not merely a geographical feature but a symbol of unity, as it lies at the quadripoint where the borders of the Amikejo (Neutral-Moresnet), Belgium, Germany and  the Netherlands meet. This location has a unique potential to become a beacon of international harmony and cultural significance if it is renamed Monto Zamenhof / Zamenhofberg / Mont Zamenhof, in honor of Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof, the creator of the Esperanto language. 

L.L. Zamenhof, a Polish-Jewish linguist, invented Esperanto in 1887. His goal was to foster peace and understanding among people of different languages and cultures through a common linguistic medium. Naming the Vaalserberg after Zamenhof would not only pay tribute to his visionary ideals but also reinforce the spirit of global harmony and cooperation. This location, bridging multiple nations, is the perfect emblem of the unity that Zamenhof envisioned through his creation of a universal language, and it would actively encourage awareness and use of Esperanto worldwide.

Renaming the Vaalserberg to Monto Zamenhof would also align with historical precedents in the area. The region was once home to Amikejo, a small utopian enclave in the former Neutral-Moresnet established in 1908 by Esperantists, which prided itself on international friendship and collaboration. By restoring an Esperantist connection to this site, we reaffirm our commitment to these enduring principles and further support the legacy and promotion of Esperanto.

La Vaalsberg, staranta je 322 metroj, estas la plej alta punkto en Nederlando. Ĝi ne estas nur geografia karakterizaĵo, sed ankaŭ simbolo de unuiĝo, ĉar ĝi situas ĉe la kvarpinta punkto kie renkontiĝas la limoj de Amikejo (Neŭtrala-Moresnet), Belgio, Germanio kaj Nederlando. Ĉi tiu loko havas unikan potencialon fariĝi simbolo de internacia harmonio kaj kultura graveco, se ĝi estos renomita Monto Zamenhof / Zamenhofberg / Mont Zamenhof, honore al Ludwik Lejzer Zamenhof, la kreinto de la lingvo Esperanto.

L.L. Zamenhof, pola-juda lingvisto, inventis Esperanton en 1887. Lia celo estis antaŭenigi pacon kaj interkomprenon inter homoj de malsamaj lingvoj kaj kulturoj per komuna lingva rimedo. Nomumi la Vaalserberg laŭ Zamenhof ne nur estus tributo al liaj viziaj idealoj, sed ankaŭ fortigus la spiriton de tutmonda harmonio kaj kunlaboro. Ĉi tiu loko, liganta plurajn naciojn, estas perfekta emblemo de la unuiĝo, kiun Zamenhof imagis per sia kreado de universala lingvo, kaj ĝi aktive instigus konscion pri Esperanto kaj ĝian uzadon tutmonde.

Renomi la Vaalserberg al Monto Zamenhof ankaŭ kongruus kun historiaj precedencoj en la regiono. La regiono iam estis hejmo de Amikejo, malgranda utopia enklavo en la antaŭa Neŭtrala-Moresnet establita en 1908 de esperantistoj, kiu fierte celebriĝis pro internacia amikeco kaj kunlaboro. Restarigante Esperantan ligon al ĉi tiu loko, ni reafirmas nian engaĝiĝon al ĉi tiuj daŭraj principoj kaj plu subtenas la heredaĵon kaj antaŭenigon de Esperanto.

Ĉi tiu iniciato ne estas nur renomo; ĝi estas paŝo direkte al kultura inkluziveco, mondpaco kaj la lingvo Esperanto kiel ilo por tutmonda interkompreno. Adoptante nomon, kiu enkorpigas la aspirojn de interkompreno kaj solidareco trans limoj, ni ankaŭ signalas renovigitan engaĝiĝon al lingva kaj kultura diverseco.

Aliĝu al ni en ĉi tiu penado honori la heredaĵon de L.L. Zamenhof, celebri niajn komune homajn valorojn kaj antaŭenigi Esperanton per renomi la Vaalserberg al Monto Zamenhof.
