I have always viewed the Baltic Sea as a beacon of hope, a safe haven for those seeking peace from potential aggressors. This personal sentiment is shared by many others who live in and around this body of water. However, its current name does not reflect our collective vision and aspirations. We propose renaming it to the 'NATO Sea', symbolizing unity, cooperation, and security that NATO represents.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has been instrumental in maintaining peace and stability in Europe since its inception in 1949 (source: NATO official website). The renaming will serve as a constant reminder of this commitment to peace.

Furthermore, considering that all but one country bordering the Baltic Sea are members of NATO, this change would be representative of their shared commitment towards mutual defense and democratic values.
