Due to the requirement set forth by Donald J Trump when he donated the (2) currently underutilized parcels containing several dilapidated structures to the New York State Parks Dept that his name remain on the properties, and the need of the people to mourn the deaths, at this time, of 600,000 American citizens (a full 10% of these deaths having occurred in the NY metro area), & to acknowledge the 33.4 million cases of COVID-19, we respectfully submit this petition requesting (1) that the current Donald J Trump State Park be renamed the Donald J Trump COVID-19 Memorial Park (2) that in developing the site in the future, a portion be set aside & developed to memorialize all those that were lost due to the pandemic (3) that facilities, trails, etc within the park be named in honor of frontline doctors, nurses, scientists, essential workers & the like who sacrificed greatly to see New York & America through this darkest of hours
