On December 27,2025 Terrel “TJ” Byars Jr life was tragically cut short when he was struck by a car on Kennywood blvd while walking to the store. TJ was a bright young man who was full of life before it was taken at the young age of 13. He was a brother, a friend and most importantly someone’s son. Terrel Jr was an epilepsy warrior who loved and was loved by his community and family. TJ was a smart young man who enjoyed being apart of his mime group at church, he was artistic loved gaming and anime. His manners and sweet smile is missed dearly, we the community are looking to rename Kennywood blvd to not only honor this young man but to be a constant reminder to drivers to slow down and be cautious of people crossing this road. We desperately need the help of the community to help this change take place so that no one else has to feel the pain of loosing a loved one on this road. TJ and anyone else who lost a love one on this blvd life mattered, join us by signing this petition as we start the fight not only for justice and awareness but to also rename kennywood blvd.
