This story begins in the quaint town of Ilford, United Kingdom, where Margaret Natalie Smith, better known to us as "Maggie Smith," was born. A woman of immense talent and fierce determination, Maggie rose through the ranks to become a distinguished and respected figure in the entertainment industry. Her significant contributions in British arts and role as strong female leads has not only brought joy to many but also brought to light the power and influence of women, paving the way for future female artists. For International Women's Day in 2026, it is pertinent to honor and commemorate the positive impact she had on the world. Dame Maggie Smith passed in September 2024. 

It is with this significance, we propose to rename a tube station, along the Elizabeth Line, in her honor recognizing her legacy, and serving as a constant reminder to the public of her valuable contributions. This gesture will serve as a beacon, inspiring future generations and celebrating women’s achievements across all fields. Join this campaign to commemorate Maggie Smith's impact on millions around the world and let her legacy continue to inspire and influence.
