Dr. Brad Owen has been a beacon in our community, a standout figure linked inextricably to the larger-than-life fabric of Burkburnett ISD. As a lifelong resident of Burkburnett, Dr. Owen's path was marked out through the very halls and sports fields of BISD, where he shone both academically and athletically. More significantly, however, is his pivotal role in shaping the lives of countless students as a Coach and an Educator. His name is virtually synonymous with Burkburnett ISD, echoed in the hearts of those whose lives he has touched.

Recognizing this fact, we propose renaming Bulldog Stadium in honor of Dr. Brad Owen. This not only symbolizes a tribute to Dr. Owen’s lifelong commitment to the service and elevation of our local district, but it also represents the impact that one person can make in a community when they dedicate their life to service and education. It would be a fitting testament to Dr. Owen’s legacy and an inspirational badge for future generations who would walk the same paths.

BISD is not just a school district; it is a tapestry woven with stories of resilience, dedication, leadership, and the power of education. The change in name of our Stadium would serve as a constant reminder of the values Dr. Owen stands for and that we hold dear; reminding us that dedication, hard work, and compassion are the cornerstones of lasting impact. And just as Dr. Brad Owen's name is etched in the hearts of our community, let it enduringly echo from the very infrastructure of BISD itself: the Bulldog Stadium.

Sign the petition today and let’s proudly rename our stadium after an individual who embodies the true spirit of BISD, Dr. Brad Owen.
