Hello friends,
I'm delighted to tell you about the launch of Riffs magazine, a free, open source academic journal from Birmingham City University, full of brilliant local people writing about Ozzy's legacy.
I was honoured to be invited to write a piece called 'Why won't Birmingham Airport take the Ozzy Airport campaign seriously?' You can read a sample here and the full journal is available online, for FREE here.
Whilst it's true that BHX is currently saying no, that's irrelevant to us since the arguments in favour of renaming are endless. The airport have already directly responded to our campaign by putting up an icons wall, with Ozzy front and centre, and our grassroots campaign grows in momentum every day.
More news soon. And ICYMI, recently we had the amazing news that the throne used by Ozzy Osbourne during his final live performance in Birmingham is to go on public display in Birmingham! Find out more here.
