The Issue

We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Erie City Council consider renaming West 30th and Cascade to honor Carter Starocci a distinguished Erie native and a 5-time national wrestling champion for Penn State University.

Carter Starocci has not only achieved remarkable success in the world of collegiate sports but has also served as a mentor and role model for young athletes in our community. His dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence embody the values we cherish in Erie.

Recognizing Carter Starocci’s accomplishments with a street name would not only celebrate his individual achievements but also inspire future generations to strive for greatness. It is time for Erie to acknowledge and honor the contributions of our local athletes who have brought pride and recognition to our city.

We believe that renaming the street in honor of Carter Starocci will serve as a lasting tribute to his legacy and a reminder of the positive impact one individual can have on their community.

I also urge anyone who has a child, teen, or adult who has been inspired by Carter, received advice, taken a picture, gotten an autograph, or been helped by him to leave a comment on the petition. This will not only praise Carter but also raise awareness in the community about the positive impact he has on others.

Thank you for considering our request. We hope you will join us in celebrating the achievements and contributions of Carter Starocci by supporting this petition.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Baldi- Carter’s forever Cornerman
