Being foreign minister is meant to be about building bridges with different cultures and communities. Winston Peter's remarks telling fellow MP Lawrence Xu-Nan to 'go back to your own country' is a disgrace to Aotearoa New Zealand and the office that he is meant to represent. Furthermore, they show that he is clearly incapable of doing his job. We call on the Prime Minister Christopher Luxon to fire him from the portfolio with immediate effect.
