I am deeply concerned and distressed by the recent installation of a cell tower right in the middle of our neighborhood. This tower is not only an eyesore but poses potential health risks to the residents, particularly because many homes and a children's playground with a pavilion are located directly underneath it.

In most cases, cell towers are constructed in open fields far from residential areas to minimize any potential dangers. However, placing a tower in such close proximity to our homes and areas where children play daily raises alarms about health and safety. The potential exposure to electromagnetic radiation is a concern, especially for those living and interacting in such close quarters with the tower.

Furthermore, numerous studies and reports have raised valid concerns regarding the long-term exposure to electromagnetic fields and their possible link to health issues, although conclusive evidence is still under scrutiny. Given these concerns, it is crucial to exercise precaution, especially when alternative locations for the tower are available.

It is unacceptable for our neighborhood to be used as a site for such infrastructure without thorough safety evaluations and consideration of the residents’ well-being. More suitable locations in open fields or commercial areas should be considered to prevent unwanted exposure to potential health hazards, while still achieving the necessary coverage for mobile networks.

We urge the local government and relevant stakeholders to prioritize the health and safety of families by relocating the cell tower to a more suitable location. Our community deserves a safe environment, free from the looming presence of such potentially harmful structures.
