I know it doesn't seem like much, but 100 of you were bold, brave and willing to say "I believe in freedom, I believe in the fundamentals of the American dream, and the innovative spirit that once built it"- some of you may not be afflicted with anything life altering and just believe in the freedom of recreational use of things that cause no harm to yourself or others. I am also in that category. Though, once saved from addiction through these refined compounds I no longer struggle with that affliction in everyday life, and I'm still reminded every single day that SO MANY DO, and they feel they don't have a voice, AA is their only option and that didn't work so it's either get on this medically provided addictive substance, or stay on the dangerous one in the streets. We can change that by setting parameters in which other solutions are offered. There are so many other complex struggles people face internally every day that would benefit greatly from us beginning to set the stage of new innovative solutions. My personal call to action, that made me want to back this petition more than anything, is being able to help the veterans who fought for our country. No matter your beliefs, I respect anyone who has served because it's done to protect us. The ones who don't go out in the face of danger every day, and don't have to because of them. I'm by no means political, and so, this is a learning experience, but I feel empowered by your support, and I feel the need to stand for this out of what started as just an email I received from a veteran. That person may never know how much of an impact that email had on me, but I hope to make them proud by the time this is all said and done, the bottom line is we live in an ever-changing world, it's an infinite game and the rules need to adapt to accommodate the current players. There are people facing things that I couldn't imagine, and they feel lost and helpless. When I can create something that compels even one of those people to make sure, I know just how grateful they are, I can't help but to fight for it. At the very core of this argument, is the fact that our basic American rights & fundamentals are being tested and if no one holds the line, those freedoms that made this country what it is, will all fade away; as we are already seeing, and I couldn't think of a worse outcome for this country.

As a whole, we need to stop paying so much attention to the political puppet show before us and start holding the line for freedom. Let it be known that we will not waiver; I don't need to fit in the same box as the people around me or as anyone at all to know that I love my fellow people, and that in itself should unite us. We are all the same. Let us continue to grow and create and make history as we expand the human potential.

Thank you for signing and sharing. Continue holding the line. Freedom and potential are what this country was founded on. Everything else is just noise and hate and distraction. Don't let it set you astray.
