Have you ever made the choice to adopt a dog ? Did it become a beloved member of your family for years to come ? Well "Artist" Tom Otterness did the first part but instead of loving and cherishing the animal in need, he set up a video camera ( which was no easy feat in the 70s ), tied the dog to a stake and executed it with a firearm...in the name of art. 

 Oh... it gets worse. It then played on a loop in a Times Square theater to upset people. This is all "google-able" 

Tom Otterness has his artwork on permanent display at the Memorial Art Gallery. I don't think this vile person should be celebrated with such a public monument.
