Growing up on a hot sunny day as a child and as an adult, we all look forward for that familiar jingle that drives through our city to sell ice cream; Mister Softee, Good Humor, etc.

Well I have learned that the "familiar jingle" have quite the history behind it! Columbia Records released a song named "Nigger Love A Watermelon - Ha! Ha! Ha!" in March 1916. To date, that same song is in rotation, but as an instrumental.

We do not need a constant reminder of how people of color were insulted or joked upon. We need to have every city that have an ice cream truck playing that song, remove it, to something more tasteful.
