Hey all!
You're killing it. It hasn't even been 24 hours since I put this up and we're at almost 300 signatures. Since we've started this effort, the WPI business school has disabled comments on their ticker reveal post (due to all of your very creative and rude Instagram comments) and the ticker is no longer displaying stocks, only messages welcoming people to the "Most Immersive STEM university", in plain white font.
A massive thank you to everyone leaving comments publicly and to those sharing on Instagram! 30% of signatures are coming from your Instagram stories. There's also been an incredible amount of alumni support.
In order to send this to the WPI administration, we need more signatures. Here's how you can help:
- Post the link to your Instagram stories, Facebook groups, club slacks/discords, and other social media (reddit, X/twitter, bluesky, snapchat, handshake, myWPI, canvas?). It's clear our student body hates the ticker, so let's give people a place to share their discontent.
- Are you close with WPI faculty/staff? Ask them their opinion on the ticker and if they'd be willing to sign!
