A point was made that the district cannot do anything, that they are already going to court for this. That by telling teachers to take down the posters they would be violating a law passed by the State of Texas. To this I argue, is it better to violate a state law or the First Ammendment? I am asking that teachers be told to take down the posters so we don't forget the separation between church and state. It is disrespectful and offensive to post a document that says in it's very first line that it is a sin to worship any other god but the Christian one. It is an abomination that this is mandated in Texas, but also an abomination that school districts enforce it. It is a small detail many don't notice in classrooms, but I, to be frank, am tired of going to school and being told I am a sinner.
