Petition updateRemove the Swyncombe Avenue RestrictionsWell done on reaching 223 signatures!

Thank you all for your support, excellent work everyone! We have reached our second target of 223 signatures in just 5 days! We now outnumber the 222 residents who supported the restriction as respondents to the trial closure (Ealing News). The 749 respondents opposing the restriction were ignored, so this is our next target number.

Please continue to share the link (https://www.change.org/TrafficPain) and consider adding comments on the petition page, as these will give us more varied viewpoints to take to Hounslow and Ealing councils when we approach them.

Targets:

223 signatures: we outnumber the total number of residents who supported the restriction (including those outside Swyncombe Avenue)

750 signatures: we outnumber the previous total number of residents opposing the restriction

1000 signatures: a psychologically important number which councillors would find harder to ignore

8001 signatures: we outnumber Guy Lambert’s exaggerated number of emails requesting the restriction

Plan:

We are taking advice on when and how to approach the Hounslow and Ealing councils. The larger the number of votes, the faster this will be.

We are also considering various initiatives we can undertake to further publicise e.g. signage along affected routes, mail drops and reaching out to the media. If you can help with this, please join the WhatsApp group at WhatsApp Chat - Reopen Swyncombe Avenue. Please bear in mind that we started in a single road so without involvement from residents from all affected areas, we may not be able to extend signage and mail drops much further than Manor Vale and its surroundings in Brentford.

Many thanks!
