Remove The Simpsons Program from Disney Plus

Remove The Simpsons Program from Disney Plus
The Issue
As a devoted viewer of The Simpsons, I have painfully watched the deterioration of this beloved series on Disney Plus. The shorts provided by Disney are downright disappointing and do not live up to the legacy the show has built over the past three decades on other broadcasting platforms. I strongly believe The Simpsons doesn't inherently belong to Disney, therefore, its true charm shouldn't be distorted or manipulated under the Disney umbrella.
The Simpsons, created by Matt Groening, made its debut in 1989 on Fox Broadcasting Company. Since then, it has aired over 700 episodes, becoming the longest-running American scripted primetime television series. Its cultural impact is undeniable, providing a witty and often biting commentary on American society through its unique blend of satire and humor. However, since the inclusion of The Simpsons on Disney Plus, the consistent drop in quality has become evident.
The show is not just an entertainment medium, but a critical and influential aspect of American popular culture. Having it under Disney’s control is both unfitting and damaging to its unique comedic brilliance.
Thus, it is important that The Simpsons are removed from Disney Plus. They deserve a broadcasting platform that respects their legacy and doesn’t mute their distinctive voice. Alternative platforms which align more with the show's original vision and maintain its integrity would be much more suitable.
Let's stand together in preserving the identity of The Simpsons and get Disney Plus to let go of the show. Please sign the petition and stand up for the integrity of this iconic series.
