As many of you have heard, Kevin Feige has casted a zionist actress Shira Haas as an Israeli superhero named Sabra. This has caused controversy online and it is problematic for a number of reasons which I will explain in more detail below. 

The name Sabra means a Jew who has been born in Palestine (obviously google would tell you it's Israel). Sabra is also the name of a massacre that occured in Lebanon (also named the Sabra and Shatila massacre) which caused the killing of between 460 and 3,500 Lebanese and Palestinians. These deaths were caused by the Lebanese militia who were ordered by the Israeli Defense Forces that had the Shatila camp surrounded so that no one could escape. 

Another reason why introducing Sabra into the MCU is that she's an Israeli police officer and the Israeli police are known for murdering innocent Palestinians. There is also this comic panel floating around of Hulk yelling at her while a Palestinian boy is laying around dead. This is what it takes for her to realize how horrible the IDF have been to Palestinians. 

By allowing Sabra to make her introduction into the MCU, we’re allowing Marvel to get away with the blatant disregard and disrespect of Palestinians. You can prevent this by signing this petition.
