Remove the Incompetent Shiloh Athletic Association Board

The Issue

The Shiloh Athletic Association has played a critical role in fostering athletics in our community. However, under the current board, the Association has seen a decline in both participation and overall standards. The current members may have begun with good intentions, but their ability to effectively manage and promote the Association has come into question. Our community's athletes deserve better. They deserve leadership that has their best interests at heart and has the acumen to elevate the Association to new heights. There's a saying that "a fish rots from the head down", meaning that if the leadership is flawed, it affects the whole entity.

As a concerned parent within the Shiloh Athletic Association (SAA) community, I have watched with growing dismay the current board's mismanagement of funds, poor communication, and blatant disregard for our membership bylaws. Much more than just my own children, many other children within this community and its feeder schools are being unjustly affected by these issues. The future of our community and our children's sporting growth is at stake because of the current board's incompetence and noncompliance. A study published in the Journal of Sports Management indicates that inadequate leadership often leads to mismanagement and corruption within athletic associations (Smith, 2018). The experiences within our community are unfortunately reflecting these findings. It's time we collectively demand an accountable board - one that respects the bylaws, communicates effectively, and manages funds reasonably. Only then can the SAA rightfully serve the passionate children in our community and its feeder schools who deserve nothing less than an optimal sporting experience. This is the time for positive change and a fresh start. By removing the active and seated board, we can initiate the process to bring in new and efficient leadership that seems necessary for the Shiloh Athletic Association's betterment. I urge you to sign this petition to remove the active and currently seated board of the Shiloh Athletic Association.
