I am a resident of Ashtabula County, Ohio, and I've experienced firsthand the neglect and mismanagement by the Housing Authority. It has become unbearable to live in an environment where the essential services are constantly failing us. The manager is never onsite to address our issues, and maintenance only responds after calling multiple times – and even then, with significant delays.

When we reach out for assistance, we are met with rude and dismissive secretaries. It feels as though our concerns are dismissed as unworthy of attention. This lack of responsiveness and respect is not only frustrating but also completely unacceptable for a service that should be helping its residents.

Furthermore, there is no security or surveillance cameras to ensure our safety. This oversight leaves us vulnerable and anxious in our own homes. It is disgraceful that an institution meant to provide shelter does not make residents' safety and wellbeing a priority.

We demand accountability and insist on the immediate removal of the current Housing Director and staff of the Ashtabula County Housing Authority. It is high time we have leaders who prioritize effective management, customer service, and tenant safety.

Let us come together as a community to advocate for change. We need a fresh start with competent and empathetic professionals who understand their duty to us as residents. Together, we can ensure that the Housing Authority serves its purpose of providing safe, respectful, and effective housing for everyone in Ashtabula County.
