Adoption should prioritize the safety and well-being of children, rather than being solely about family planning. We reject the notion of being seen as "gifts," "owed" or "transactions." It is crucial to recognize the historical context, socio-economic injustices, and generational trauma that often lead to the separation of individuals from their first families. We have the right to share our own stories and experiences.

In regard to this specific podcast episode, it is evident that it portrays adoption from a narrow perspective, focusing on one part of the adoptee triad while also perpetuating white fragility, white saviorism, and classism.
