On August 31, 2026, Duke University and Edward Jones announced that they had entered into an agreement naming Edward Jones the Official Wealth Management Partner of Duke Basketball, focusing on financial education and student-athlete support. As part of the agreement, the Edward Jones logo is being prominently displayed on the floor of Cameron Indoor Stadium, the legendary home of Duke Basketball.

While the partnership has the potential to offer many benefits to Duke student-athletes, displaying the Edward Jones logo on the Cameron Indoor floor goes too far. It unnecessarily commercializes a venue that is a symbol of the best in Duke Athletics.

The logo should be removed.
