We hereby demand that Shropshire Council urgently rethink the approach to the Railway Station in Shrewsbury, and completely remove the new  'floating' bus stop and cycle lane without delay!

In our view, the solution could be implemented quite easily.

By removing the newly created central reservation for the “floating bus stop” and instead designating the left-hand lane exclusively for taxis, and buses (and critically important access for the EMERGENCY services)  — as it already operates along Castle Gates and Castle Street — traffic would flow more safely and efficiently.

The bus stop could then be sensibly relocated to its previous position, right outside the station, where it naturally serves passengers best.
