The town council is single handedly destroying the much loved town of Sunset Beach North Carolina.  Some years back before Mayor Phillips was in place, they made a vote to give them the power to make all decisions and leave the Mayor simply as a figure head.  Since then they have made decisions that one can only conclude that they are either, 1. completely inept, or 2. getting personal financial gain from their decisions.  Their most recent decisions to add paid parking and allow hotels on the island are punitive to the residents and the town at large.  They take no consideration of the opinions of the very people they were voted to represent.  They are not doing their jobs, they are following their own agenda.  We need to remove them immediately and give power back to the mayor.
