The Issue

Hunterdon Central Regional High School's current policy requires students to wear lanyard IDs around their necks at all times. This mandate, however, has led to unnecessary stress and disciplinary actions that can affect students' academic records/performances.

People have forgotten to wear them around their necks, despite having the ID on their body. This minor oversight now has the potential to impact people's academic record as they are getting written up. This can very much occur to you as well.  Which is especially an unnerving thought for seniors considering college applications are on the horizon.

The lanyard ID policy itself is impractical, causes undue stress, and doesn't effectively serve its intended purpose. By signing this petition, you are supporting a change that would lead to a more equitable and less stressful school environment for everyone at Hunterdon Central Regional High School.

Please sign this petition to urge the school administration to reconsider our current ID policy or at least offer a less strict alternative.
