Remove the Criminal Evidence from the Basement of Orleans Parish Criminal District Court

The Issue

During Hurricane Katrina evidence was lost in over 3,000 cases because the basement of Criminal District Court and NOPD Headquarters where the evidence was stored became flooded. We cannot run that chance again. Evidence storage needs to be above ground and proper security needs to be installed to ensure the integrity of that criminal evidence.
