Supervision is a method of punishment employed in various schools across the Northern Education Trust. However, in this specific case, we will be looking at the implementation of supervision in Walbottle Academy. (Supervision can also be called C5 at different times.)

My identity will be hidden for my own safety, but recently, I have been sent to supervision.

What is intended to serve as a form of justice for bad behavior is, in reality, a means of psychological torture. Students tend to endure seven hours of pure isolation and detachment from the world. With all forms of communication, eye contact, and relaxation strictly prohibited, you fully experience the oppressive nature of the school system and its policies.

You are objectified; you are stripped of all human characteristics. You are a mere caged-up animal, with your name being the number of the box. You can scream, you can weep tears, and you can protest—as long as it is all in your head. All while your suffering is at the hands of subjugating staff who embody the façade of trying to assist students. The students are not morally wrong in their opposition; rather, it is the management who have failed the academy and have transitioned student life into a sinister vision of eternal slavery and hell.

No student should be forced into compulsion and obligatory work when all they are viewed as in supervision are dehumanized creatures inside a claustrophobic box. We are names, cultures, religions, and we are unique individuals; the systematic oppression must be toppled.
