Thank you for your supportive voice to Remove Squamish Tent City. We have 125 signatures from members of the community in just the past couple of days and growing. Please continue to share the petition with your friends and neighbours so that we can all send a strong message to the District of Squamish, BC Housing and Helping Hands - a message that Squamish residents will not stand for this public safety hazard and environmental degradation any longer! 

By refusing to act to date on this issue, the District of Squamish, Helping Hands and BC Housing continue to sow division in our small community. 

If we cannot succeed in having Squamish Council enforce its own bylaws, the Downtown squatter's camp behind Helping Hand's "Under One Roof" will only spread to other Squamish neighbourhoods threatening our community safety and environment. It is already happening - the photo in this email is a squatter's den right under the Government Road Bridge ready to wash into the estuary and ocean, and an environmental hazard to the surrounding community.

Council Meeting on Tuesday, February 6th at 6pm. Council will receive presentation from community residents to resolve the untenable presence of the squatter's camp behind "Under One Roof". Please show up at 6, we need your support!!!
