This is a principle I firmly believe in, and it is why I am calling for the removal of Shane Smiley from his position on the Ouachita Parish Police Jury. He has been accused of the repeated verbal harassment of young adults, an egregious misuse of power that should not go unchecked.

Shane Smiley, who also owns Catahoula's Restaurant, has been documented engaging in behavior that is unbecoming of a public official and detrimental to our community's values of respect and integrity.
