Currently, the Beaverton School District (Oregon) upholds heavy restrictions regarding the use of personal music during the school day, effectively banning the use of Spotify, the most used music platform in the world, on all school devices. 

Music is an important and beneficial tool for high school students because it allows them to develop self-expression, better their mental health, and enhance productivity during work time. 

Students need music to cope with the stressors of everyday life. We as learners and creative thinkers urge the Beaverton School District to allow the personal use of music during the school day, and not just for those who have their own devices.
