I, like many others, value public transport within Cobb County for its accessibility and environmental impact. It's an essential service that connects us all, helping students reach schools, adults commute to their workplaces, and seniors access health facilities. Yet, it appears that our current Board of Education member, Randy Scamihorn, does not share this view and instead opposes improvements to our public transit system. Not just that, he has recurrently shown an aversion to progress, stunting the development of our community.

Lack of public transportation hinders the growth potential of any area, as shown in a 2017 study by George Mason University, highlighting that areas with robust public transit had a 40% higher growth rate than those who lacked it. With this in mind, the opposition of Randy Scamihorn towards the enhancement of our public transportation system thrusts us into a future where our county is left behind economically and socially.

It's time to call for the permanent removal of Randy Scamihorn from the Cobb County School Board. His tunnel-vision approaches to fundamental issues are detrimental to the county's growth and advancement. We need a representative who will fight for our infrastructure and educational needs and drive our community towards success.
