Petition to Remove Superintendent Randi Anderson

We the undersigned adult residents of the Shawano School District do not have confidence in Randi Anderson to lead us.  We are in a fiscal and personnel crisis, and we petition our School Board to remove her as superintendent.

She did not act responsibly when she neglected to inform us of the budget deficit in a timely manner, spent resources at a disproportionate rate to accomplish administrative functions, and hired many consultants while knowing that a number of teachers’ positions would have to be ‘right-sized.’ 

She does not respect our experienced teachers and staff and sees the departure of them as an ‘opportunity’ to recruit new ones. Staff do not feel safe to speak openly about issues, and many have privately stated that they fear retribution.

In the past 20 months, retirements and resignations have risen 75% over the previous 36 months. The number of staff and administrative departures will continue to grow, as many teachers and administrators are seeking employment elsewhere and nearby districts are recruiting our teachers.

We fear the district will not recover from this crisis. Our future lies in the hands of our children, and we urge you to protect their school system. By signing this petition, you allow the petition author to transfer your signature to the electronic version.
