Given the nature of Canada and its relationship with the Indigenous People and Pierre Elliot Trudeaus influences in building and maintaining Residential Schools in Canada, this petition calls for the removal of his name from all public buildings. The Pierre Elliot Trudeau Airport, all Schools baring his name and any statue celebrating his status is a daily reminder that Canada celebrated a man who tried to destroy an entire race of people.

Given that it is insensitive, hurtful and downright offensive to celebrate a man with such strong ties to the erasure of the Indigenous population of Canada and cannot be tolerated. Anything less is injustice to the Indigenous population.

We the People call upon all levels of government to remove the name and images of Pierre Trudeau from public space once and for all
