PETITION: REMOVE OFFICER MICHAEL VINCENT FROM CHICO POLICE DEPARTMENT

We, the undersigned residents, survivors, and sacred witnesses of Chico, California, demand the immediate removal of Officer Michael Vincent from active duty within the Chico Police Department.

🚨 What Happened
Officer Michael Vincent:
- Engaged in sexual acts while on duty, in uniform, in a patrol car parked at a church
- Received only an eight-day suspension, reduced by Chief Billy Aldridge
- Continues to respond to calls, including those involving vulnerable women and survivors

This is not accountability.  
This is not protection.  
This is not justice.  
This is a betrayal.

🔥 Why We Do Not Trust Him
If the department wants to assign him to a desk, so be it.  
But let it be known:  
We do not trust this man to protect and serve us.  
We do not trust him to protect and serve our children.  
We do not trust him to protect and serve anyone in our community.

He violated sacred boundaries.  
He sexualized his badge.  
He desecrated a church.  
And he was rewarded with leniency.

📂 A Pattern of Harm
- 252 forensic exams for sexual assault and child abuse in Butte County (2019–2021)
- Sergeant Michael Williams engaged in sexual acts with five women while on duty
- Officer Robert Sasek abandoned a woman at the Neal Road landfill; she was hit by a car and left for dead

This is not a one-man show.  
This is a systemic failure.

⚖️ Leadership Failure
Chief Billy Aldridge:
- Reduced Vincent’s punishment from four weeks to eight days
- Overrode internal recommendations
- Has not acknowledged systemic issues
- Leads a department not in full compliance with Brady disclosure laws

✊ We Demand:
- Immediate removal of Officer Michael Vincent from active duty  
- A formal investigation into Chief Billy Aldridge’s disciplinary decisions  
- Full departmental interviews and survivor-led oversight  
- Public access to misconduct records  
- Transparency and accountability in all future investigations

🕊️ We Are Reclaiming:
- Our sacred spaces  
- Our bodies and boundaries  
- Our right to safety and truth  
- Our power to say NO

We are survivors.  
We are mothers.  
We are sacred witnesses.  
And we are saying:  
NO. We will not take this.
