The purpose of this petition is to call for the removal of Ms. June Smothers from Von Steuben Middle School and all of Peoria Public Schools District 150. It has been observed and reported on several occasions that her methods and attitude pose a challenge to a conducive learning environment. (source: Anonymous feedback from students and parents). Education is a sacred duty, and those who are entrusted with this duty should be able to carry it out in the most efficient and considerate manner possible. Ms. Smothers, unfortunately, does not embody these principles. For the better future of our children and the reputation of our educational institutions, we ask the relevant authorities to consider this request seriously.
