Remove Minecraft Java Edition's Report System

Remove Minecraft Java Edition's Report System
The Issue
On June 21st, Mojang announced their plans to introduce a reporting system to Minecraft: Java Edition. This system is concerning because they said it can ban you permanently from joining any server, including your own servers hosted on your own hardware. This is incredibly dangerous for the game, and there is no real reason for implementing this feature. It should be the responsibility of individual server owners to decide who gets to join the servers hosted on their machines. It is a fundamental ethical flaw for Mojang to have the right to ban you from playing on a server you own, with the game you purchased.
Let's go over the best case scenario with this system just to explain how dangerous it is. Suppose you are being really mean. If you are on a server with your friends like a private SMP and your friends don't like that, they would just ban you. This is perfectly fine, it's the responsibility of the server owner to manage their servers. Even on a big server like Hypixel, the Hypixel team already handles bans. This system is unnecessary because all it will accomplish is make it so that, in addition to getting banned from the server you said mean things on, you now have your right to play the game you purchased with your friends removed because a moderator you don't know is snooping at your chat messages, even on a private server.
Essentially, you purchase the game and then own the copy of the game. A random person at Microsoft can then watch and judge how you communicate with your friends on your own self-hosted server, and can ban you from using servers, essentially nullifying your copy of the game. It's anti consumer, and should honestly be illegal.
This feature needs to be removed. The overwhelming negative feedback from their posts about this feature does not seem to be enough to make them come to their senses, hence this petition. Please spread the word.
