The American people are greatly concerned about Judge Brett Kavanaugh's fitness to be a justice on the Supreme Court. His actions and demeanor during the hearing with the Senate Judiciary Committee are not becoming of a judge and even more so of a Supreme Court Justice.

He has showed himself to be viciously partisan specifically due to his judicial record and, even more importantly, during his opening statement at the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on Thursday, September 27th, 2018. As I am sure you are aware, Rule 1.2 from the American Bar Association Model Code of Judicial Conduct states:

"A judge shall act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the independence, integrity, and impartiality of the judiciary, and shall avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety."

Judge Brett Kavanaugh's opening statement states:

"This whole two-week effort has been a calculated and orchestrated political hit, fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election. Fear that has been unfairly stoked about my judicial record. Revenge on behalf of the Clintons. and millions of dollars in money from outside left-wing opposition groups."

This is the exact opposite of impartiality and independence.

Therefore, we demand that Judge Brett Kavanaugh be removed from the American Bar Association. His temperament and political biases do not live up to the standards that your prestigious association represents.
