Remove Judge Havercamp from her position
The Issue
During the COVID-19 pandemic, like many other individuals, I faced a challenging situation. My ex-husband and I had a custody hearing conducted via Zoom under the oversight of Judge Havercamp. Unfortunately, the judge made a decision that was not rooted in the full and authentic facts, and it cost me dearly. She awarded full custody of my children to my ex-husband despite his disingenuous intentions. He was more interested in the financial gain than in their well-being. He even told our daughters he would never keep them from me. He was getting them every Thursday and everyother weekend while I still indeed had my daughters as a good mother should. While paying him child support. It wasn't about the money for me it was about my daughters and their needs
It wasn't until two years later, after saving enough money to return to court, that justice was finally served. Thanks to a different judge and a fair in-person hearing, This experience highlighted a significant concern regarding Judge Havercamp's judicial approach. Her decisions were based on personal opinions rather than an objective assessment of the situation.
The role of a judge is paramount in ensuring justice, fairness, and impartiality. Personal biases and failure to thoroughly understand each case can have devastating impacts on individuals and families. Judge Havercamp's actions suggest a deviation from these principles, making her unfit to serve the community of Gainesville, TX, in such an important capacity.
It's crucial that judges in our legal system represent the principles of truth and integrity. For the sake of fairness and justice, it is imperative that Judge Havercamp be removed from her position. Her track record indicates a consistent reliance on personal feelings, which has already caused undue harm.
Sign this petition if you believe in fair and unbiased judiciary practices. Our justice system deserves judges who uphold the law with integrity and fairness, without allowing personal biases to influence their decisions.
