As parents, we send our children out into the world with trust. That trust is that they will be safe, even when they are participating in extra-curricular activities, like track meets. Our concern is intensified by the fact that Judge Angela Tucker is currently presiding over the case involving Karmelo Anthony. We have significant reasons to believe she might have a racial bias, which makes it even essential that she be removed from this case.

In a country where we pride ourselves on being fair and unbiased, the idea of a judge who possibly holds a racial bias against a party in a case is unsettling. The American Judicature Society's study reveals that 90% of American judges believe that their colleagues, to some degree, allow racial or ethnic bias to influence their judicial decision-making. We fear that Judge Angela Tucker may fall into this percentage.
