We start this appeal with a deeply personal experience. John Alexander has been a menace not just to us, but to many others in the Hobbs Municipal School District. Physically threatening and tailing students, he poses a security risk and has directly harmed us, leading to a constant state of worry and fear. His actions aren't limited to our group; he has extended his threats to numerous other students. It's not a safe or appropriate environment for students, as the school should be a place for growth, learning, and safety. We believe this isn't a one-off incident but a pattern of behavior which needs to be addressed promptly.

According to StopBullying.gov, a U.S. federal government organization, around 20% of students aged 12-18 experience bullying nationwide. This contributes to academic problems, sleep difficulties, depression, and various other issues. By allowing Alexander to remain in the district, we risk perpetuating this statistic. It is imperative we strive to foster a safe and nurturing environment for all students, one free from threats and intimidation.
