Mudrow Must Go!

Petition for the Immediate Dismissal of Jeff Mudrow as Head of School at Stockdale Christian School

To the Board of Directors,

We, the undersigned members of the Stockdale Christian School community, demand the immediate dismissal of Jeff Mudrow as the Head of School. Our concerns stem from a series of actions that have negatively impacted the quality and reputation of our beloved institution:

1. Lack of Communication and Program Cuts: Key programs such as Spanish  have been removed without proper communication to parents. Additionally, essential support, like teacher aides, has been significantly reduced, affecting the quality of education our children receive.

2. Unstable Staffing Decisions: Last year, experienced and valued teachers were laid off, only to have newly hired teachers dismissed after just two days into the new school year. Firing teachers during the first week of school leaves them with little opportunity to find another job and disrupts the teacher-student ratio, further compromising the quality of education. Jeff Mudrow defended his decision during town hall meetings. The board had to take action to correct his bad decisions.

3. Plunging Enrollment and Rising Dissatisfaction: Under Mr. Mudrow’s tenure, enrollment has significantly declined, and dissatisfaction among parents, students, and staff has increased. This growing discontent highlights the need for new leadership to restore confidence in our school.

4. Budget Cuts and Diminished Resources: With more budget cuts being implemented, the resources necessary to deliver a quality education are becoming increasingly scarce. This reduction in resources further threatens the academic success and overall well-being of our students.

5. Preschool Uncertainty: Even the preschool, once a stable foundation of our community, now faces uncertainty under the current leadership.

6. Inadequate Facilities: Our children have returned to school without access to a playground, despite an entire summer to address these issues. This oversight directly affects their physical and emotional well-being.

Stockdale Christian School was once one of the most prestigious schools in Bakersfield, a legacy that has not been upheld since Mr. Mudrow took over. The current leadership has not maintained the standards we expect from our school, and it is time for a change.

We urge the board to take immediate action and submit a vote of no confidence in Jeff Mudrow's leadership. The future of our children, their education, and our community depends on it.
