The director of Humane society of monroe county of monroe Michigan needs to step down or be removed from her position. The facility is housing 70 plus dogs. The director has constantly failed the community with refusing donated medical care, but yet puts out a post to the public for help with medical care.. reputable rescues have been denied with helping pay for adoption fees or medical care or being able to pull a dog from the facility to foster to adopt. The director has refused to drop the adoption fees when dogs have been sitting there for over 6 months  or more. There are old timers that are spending their golden years on a hard cement floor instead of a soft bed, because of the directors lack of care.

Potential adopters that live in a trailer or don’t have a fenced in yard have been turned down for those reasons, hindering even more future forever homes..volunteers that have used their voices are released as not needing their services anymore. So in turn these dogs sit with no human interaction, no proper time out of their kennel, no walks to stretch their legs before they go stir crazy. With 70 dogs how can you properly clean the only space that these fur babies have and now the director jackie puts a public plea for volunteers to help clean the kennels. There has been numerous emails with successful solutions from other local shelters and facilities but yet she refuses the solution. Drop  the adoption fee So these dogs have a chance for a loving home not a stressful kennel environment ..

if these dogs don’t get out of there, we all know what happens with lack of space and quality of life.. please let’s not let that happen, let’s be the change..
