Our school has been a beacon of resilience and success, a place that brings back memories of togetherness and pride for generations of Carter alumni, staff, and community. This is why we are deeply concerned about the current leadership at D. W. Carter High School. The principal in charge has shown grossly ineffective and unethical behavior, causing a toxic environment for both staff and students.

 Refuses to Engage with Community Stakeholders by not allowing PTSA and SBDM meetings to be held on campus

Violates Title 9 by Discriminating Against Girl Athletics

For years, we have witnessed a downturn in morale and academic achievement, with numerous complaints about the principal's unprofessionalism and lack of dedication. Reports have surfaced from parents, teachers, and students describing instances of unethical and immoral conduct, seriously undermining the integrity of our cherished school. It's imperative that we act now to stabilize our community and set our school back on a path of excellence.

Our demand is clear: the immediate removal of the current principal. In his place, we call for a school community-driven search for a new leader. This process should be transparent and involve teachers, parents, and students to ensure that we appoint a principal who embodies dedication, professionalism, and the skills required to uplift D. W. Carter High School. We owe it to our school and our community.
