The Issue

For many years, I have had the privilege of being part of the hardworking team at RoyalGrove, working alongside dedicated colleagues who always strive to offer our guests the best possible experience. However, over the past months, morale among the staff has plummeted, and the root cause is clear – ineffective leadership by our current operations manager, Rayne Hu.

Under Rayne Hu's management, many of my colleagues in front desk and housekeeping roles have been demoralized, leading to an exodus of staff who are fed up with shouldering the burdens of mismanagement. These roles are vital to the success of our hotel, directly affecting guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of Royal Grove Waikiki.

Staff members are overworked, sometimes taking on the responsibilities meant for multiple people, which not only diminishes service quality but also imposes an unfair workload on those who choose to stay. Meanwhile, complaints go unaddressed, guest feedback is ignored, and an often daunting and hostile work environment persists.

Statistics within the hospitality industry highlight a disturbing trend showing that unmanaged staff turnover can cost up to 30% of a staff member’s annual salary. This is not only detrimental financially but also affects the seamless service that our guests have come to expect from us. When a management change is delayed, it deepens dissatisfaction and tarnishes the trusted brand reputation built over years.

We believe that Hotel Equities should prioritize the well-being of its employees and the satisfaction of its guests by appointing an accountable and responsive leader who will champion both efficiency and empathy. These qualities are indispensable for fostering a positive, productive work atmosphere in which all staff feel valued and respected.

A change in management is imperative to restore the respect, dignity, and professionalism that the employees at Royal Grove Waikiki deserve. We call on HR hotel equities to take immediate action and appoint a manager who truly embodies the core values of our establishment.

Please sign this petition to support a brighter future for the staff at Royal Grove Waikiki and ensure the continuation of excellent service for all our guests. Our staff's well-being and our hotel's reputation depend on it.
